Riserva

Riserva is a term that you will see on bottles of Italian wine and, unfortunately, it is impossible to pin down exactly what it means. Different wine-producing areas have different rules on what may be called Riserva but the general meaning is a wine that has been made from the best quality grapes and may have been matured for longer before being released.
