Refosco dal Peduncolo Grape Variety

Refosco dal Peduncolo is a red grape variety grown mainly in the Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto regions. The name refosco was given because of its red stems. It is a variety thought to be indigenous to Italy and has a bouquet and flavours of plums, almonds, and flowers such as lavender. It produces full-bodied wines with high levels of acidity.
