Petit Verdot Grape Variety

Petit Verdot is a red grape variety cultivated mainly in Tuscany and Sicily and, to a lesser extent, in Lazio and Puglia. This is an international variety used mainly in the blending of Bordeaux-type wines. It has a bouquet and flavours of mainly black fruits such as plums to cherries. It also has notes of violet, lavender, sage, and dried herbs.
