Marzemino Grape Variety

Marzemino is a red grape variety best known for red wines in northern Italy. Marzemino is cultivated mainly in the Veneto, Lombardy, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, and Trentino Alto-Aldige. Wine produced from Marzemino has a plummy flavour and is dark in colour with an often intense bouquet. On the palate it will have flavours of wild berries and possibly violets. The older wines should have flavours of liquorice and leather with high sapidity.

We visit wineries, restaurants and other highlights to give you the information you need to plan a great trip to Italy. We can design itineraries, advise on bookings and show you the Italy that the tour companies don’t tell you about.
