Malvasia del Lazio Grape Variety

The Malvasia del Lazio is a grape variety which is also known as the Malvasia Puntinata. This variety is a cross between Zibibbo and Schiava Grossa and is thought to be the highest quality Malvasia. It has a bouquet and flavours of yellow fruits such as peach and apricot. It is grown mainly in the Marino and Castelli Romani areas south of Rome and is used to make the Frascati DOCG.
