Friulano Grape Variety

The Friulano grape variety is the same as the Sauvignon Vert (also known as Sauvignanasse) grape variety. It is famous for its role in the white wines of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The grape is grown mainly in Friuli with a smaller percentage grown in Veneto. It is known primarily as Friulano in Friuli, Lison in eastern Veneto, and Tai elsewhere in Veneto. Its bouquet and flavours are those of white flowers, almonds, and crisp green apples.
