Corvinone Grape Variety

Corvinone is a grape variety which is best known for being blended together with Corvina in Amarone and Valpolicella. It is grown almost exclusively in the Veneto region. It is fairly drought resistant. It is a purple-red in colour with a complex and intense bouquet. In the younger wines you would find notes of cherries, raspberries, violets, and blackberries. In the more mature wines you’re likely to find aromas of tobacco and cocoa.

We visit wineries, restaurants and other highlights to give you the information you need to plan a great trip to Italy. We can design itineraries, advise on bookings and show you the Italy that the tour companies don’t tell you about.
