Corvina Grape Variety

Corvina is a thick-skinned grape, ideal for air-drying, which is grown exclusively in the Veneto. It is light in colour and tannins with flavours and aromas of blackberries, violets, red cherries, and herbs. It is thought to be a descendant of both Marzemino and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso and is used mainly in the production of Amarone and Valpolicella wines.

We visit wineries, restaurants and other highlights to give you the information you need to plan a great trip to Italy. We can design itineraries, advise on bookings and show you the Italy that the tour companies don’t tell you about.
