Colli di Trasimeno DOC

Colli di Trasimeno or Trasimeno DOC was established as a DOC in 1972. The principal white grapes are made up of Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Grechetto, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Trebbiano, Vermentino, and Welschriesling (Riesling Italico). The principal red grapes are Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Ciliegiolo, Grenache, Merlot, Pinot Nero, and Sangiovese.

This Umbrian appellation covers all styles and colours and you will find not only white and red versions of this DOC but also rosato, sparking wines, dessert wines, and speciality wines such as vin santo.
