Chianti Classico DOCG

The Chianti Classico DOCG wine is produced in an area around Greve in Chianti in Tuscany. It must contain a minimum of 80% Sangiovese grapes although it is not uncommon for producers to go to 100%. The Chianti Classico logo that you will see on the bottle, and indeed all over the area, is the famous black cockerel.
