Bora

The Bora is a northerly to north-easterly wind in areas near the Adriatic Sea. The wind is most common during the winter and can be felt all around the Adriatic and it is particularly strongly felt in Croatia. In Italy, Trieste, the capital of Friuli Venezia Giulia, is the city of the Bora. Outsiders say that the residents of Trieste are all mad because of the Bora.
