The Pinot Bianco grape variety is best known for varietal wines from northern Italy. It is cultivated primarily in the Veneto, Trentino-Alto Aldige, Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, and Lombardy. It has good acidity and is known for light, crisp wines. It is often used in making Franciacorta in Lombardy.
