Green Harvest

A green harvest is nothing more than the trimming of unripe grapes to decrease crop yields. This results in the concentration of the remaining grapes and allows the balancing of leaf cover with the bunches of grapes. Normally this is done manually so the growers can remove the bunches which are less advanced. Because of this, it is an expensive process and is generally only used in the production of premium wines.

We visit wineries, restaurants and other highlights to give you the information you need to plan a great trip to Italy. We can design itineraries, advise on bookings and show you the Italy that the tour companies don’t tell you about.
